Welcome and thank you for visiting the Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School website where you can find important information about our school and its programs. Our school community includes approximately 1900 students who have many interests and abilities and a staff of 150 who are experts in learning and student support.
We offer a variety of courses and specialty programs for our students in order to support their success in any post-secondary pathways, including: College, University, Workplace, and Apprenticeships. Our specialty programs include the French Immersion Program, Specialist High Skills Major (four different sectors), Personalized Alternative Education Program, Co-Op, and 4 Community Classes (Autism, Developmentally-Delayed, Language/Learning Disability Programs).
Student achievement is often connected to a student’s involvement and engagement in school activities. Co-curricular activities are also an excellent way for students to become integrated within the community outside of their classes as well as practice important leadership skills which will become pivotal to their future success. Students at Trudeau have many opportunities to become involved in a variety of co-curricular activities including Trudeau Student Activities Council (TSAC), Athletic and Music Councils. We have a diverse offering of co-curriculars over 60 clubs. For our sports fans, Trudeau also offers a number of teams in the fall, winter and spring seasons.
Home-school partnerships are important to a student’s success. We have a vibrant School Council who are parent volunteers who are actively involved in supporting school endeavours. We encourage all parents/guardians to provide feedback about the school and our initiatives by attending School Council meetings.
Sincerely,
Dawn Imada-Chan
